Our Role

The Steering Group works collaboratively with the appointed Delivery Leads, AM Consortium, to guide the Forum’s development and ensure its work creates meaningful and lasting impact.

  • Strategic direction: Shaping the Forum’s priorities, strategic positioning and long-term ambitions.

  • Governance and accountability: Providing oversight of delivery, financial sustainability, risk and organisational performance.

  • Signatory support and engagement: Helping strengthen the value offered to signatories and encouraging meaningful EDI commitments.

  • Sector engagement and collaboration: Building relationships with stakeholders, funders, partners and organisations across the social investment ecosystem.

  • Research, data and learning: Supporting evidence-informed approaches, monitoring progress and sharing learning to advance inclusion.

  • Sustainability and resources: Supporting the Forum’s long-term resilience, partnerships and resource development.

How We Work

The Steering Group operates through an agreed Terms of Reference and governance. framework, with members contributing to designated portfolio areas aligned with the Forum's strategic and operational priorities. Members bring their professional experience and perspectives to the forum, supporting collective decision-making and providing constructive challenge.
The Steering Group works closely with AM Consortium, which is responsible for the day-to-day day coordination and implementation of the Forum's delivery programme.
